But we also can’t forget that goalkeepers are the only players in the team, who is the most affected on the field because their goals are so close to the crowds and if you are playing an AWAY game, you will have the most obnoxious crowd just few feet behind you throwing coins, bottles and calling you some very “decorative” names....it is crazy, but what a great feeling to be part of it!!!.
We always talk about the beautiful stadiums in the world for example the world cup in QUATAR 2022, this stadium is like something from a science fiction movie.
But what about the WEIRDEST stadiums in the world? well lets check it out:
Marina Bay, Singapore. This stadium was constructed completely out of steel. As you can see, was also built over the ocean and this stadiums holds 30,000 people. I would hate to see the ball go out of bounce.!! by far my favorite.
Piran Stadium located in Croatia. it can hold 4,000 fans. It is a fascinating stadium but I can only imagine the hard crosswinds the goalkeepers have to deal with. It is simply spectacular.
Stadium Alberto Chivo De Cordoba. Holds 32,000 fans and it is located in Toluca, Mexico. The most impressive part about this stadium is the art designed on the seats. This art was made by Leopold Flores and named “Aratmosfera”.
Francis Di Giovanni Stadium, located in Marsella, France. It hold 200 people. I wonder if they counted the people inside those apartments. I also wonder if the residents of these apartments can watch the game from their living room. It is indeed a different stadium.
Futsal Park in Tokyo, Japan. It holds about 50 people. Tokyo is such of big and modernized city. Stadiums and fields like this one are built in very unique places because there is not enough space to build new fields in Japan. What is interesting about this field is that the ball never falls off the building.
Mmabatho Stadium, South Africa. It holds 59,000. One of the biggest problems about soccer stadiums is how to get a great view from the corners of the field. This stadium was designed by the Russians to ensure that every person on the stadium is able to see the game about the same distance. Observe the seating system designed. Maybe some of our engineer friends can explain this but it is a fabulous looking stadium.
Ukraine. This field really tells me one thing, “IMPOSSIBLE CORNER KICKS”. This is actually a field that people use who simply want to do pick-up games. However, this shows the passion they have toward the BEAUTIFUL GAME. They don’t need perfect conditions or fields, they just want to play.....I don’t blame them, kudos to those who would do ANYTHING to play the most beautiful game in the world.
